Dreams Become Reality!

Believe it or not, GemStyle was actually created by accident! Scott Miller, the president and cofounder of GemStyle, comes from a successful and decorated career in the wholesale diamond business. His experience in the diamond industry dates back to 1984, when he became the youngest member, at the age of 18, to be inducted into the NY Diamond Dealers Club. In 1999, he co-founded Diamonds.com, which has become one of the premier online retailers within the diamond and jewelry industries.

Jewelry design is nothing new to Scott. His love for designing jewelry began at an early age and has grown over the years. Scott got started in the industry by creating custom-designed pieces of jewelry for many of his clients, which included celebrities and professional athletes. Scott’s custom designs have become his hallmark.  His unique ability to combine superb quality and detail with touches of contemporary styling separated him from the competition.

After many years in the industry, Scott noticed that his wife, Wendi, and her friends were creating and wearing more trendy jewelry, as opposed to the traditional pieces. This new trend of bold, fashionable jewelry was embraced by women because of its outfit-matching characteristics. Scott and Wendi saw that the women loved jewelry they could coordinate with the latest fashions in the clothing world.

This observation took, what is now GemStyle, to the next level. Scott and Wendi began designing and creating fashionable pieces of jewelry with these new trendy characteristics, which their friends and family loved. After seeing the response to the jewelry, Wendi began testing their new styles by inviting groups of ladies over to show and sell these new pieces of jewelry.

All it took was the combination of affordable pieces of jewelry and accessories styled in a trendy manor, and a group of fashion-conscious women to know that GemStyle would be a hit. 

GemStyle was suddenly born. Over the past few years Scott and Wendi have worked together in combining their love of jewelry and design to construct a business based on a proven business model.

“Direct Selling” through parties has been successful for well over 100 years, generating sales of more than 35 billion dollars a year in the United States alone.

As a couple, along with three wonderful children, they are thrilled to share this new business that allows them to follow their passion of jewelry and design. Scott and Wendi have been avid supporters of the “Make a Wish Foundation” for over 8 years. They have chosen to do this as a way to further their corporate contributions through GemStyle and its consultants.
